Logodaidalia

from Brian Cutean QTN

Book/Magazine

Logodaidalia is the new QTN book of bedtime stories for when you wake in the morning. The book’s dreamtime metafable language encourages us to stay with our dreams longer upon awakening instead of jumping out of bed to begin the day. The glorious cover was done by Nick MacKee and is pictured here.

The language is flippy, a slippery stream of consciousness startling with luminosity and resonance. The 52 stories are a full deck of liquid and playful narratives that zig and zog, sounding great read out loud.

The title was picked at random from an old Oxford Dictionary that read: “Greek: "words, cunningly wrought; a playing with words as by passing from one meaning of them to another.” Indeed it is and does... Let me know if you would like your copy personally inscribed.

Oreogn poet Madronna Holden called it: "A hop, skip and a jump into storied musings combining Brian Cutean's distinctive mix of wordplay, compassion, philosophical wisdom and just plain fun.”

Cellist Amy Danziger said: "Wordsworth meets E.E. Cummings meets Dr. Seuss, with your own special flavor stirred in. Love it!"

Legendary songwriter Steve Gillette wrote: "Surprising and delightful, not surprisingly delightful, really quite fresh and wonderful. So many insightful and strange moments. Drives my spell-checker crazy."

Texas songwriter Steve Fisher said: "A reflective and insightful work of immense perspective... not to mention how many times it leaves you shaking your head in amazement at the imaginative wordplay..."
